Fans are eager to see the Maddock Supernatural Universe again, and just two weeks remain until Stree 2’s release. Along with its horror-comedy, the movie’s prequel was well-known for its upbeat musical sequences. You’ll be grooving to the silliest song of 2024 when Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor perform their stunning Aaj Ki Raat, which is winning hearts. August 1, 2024 saw the release of Stree 2’s Aayi Nai, a mix of Bhojpuri swagger and Bollywood charm.
In the music video featuring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, the duo performs a dance sequence in a palace garden surrounded by vibrant sunflowers. Both actors are dressed in traditional costumes, adding to the romantic and cultural ambiance of the scene. As they lip-sync to the upbeat and romantic track, Rajkummar’s character, Vicky, is seen expressing his frustration and longing to Shraddha’s character for not reciprocating his feelings. The scene takes a playful turn when women dressed in colorful ghagra-choli pull him away.
The song, performed by Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh, is a heartfelt narration of a man’s unrequited love and the pain of waiting endlessly for his lover. The lyrics convey the sorrow of a man who spends nights waiting in the fields, hoping his beloved will come, but she never does. Vicky’s lament reflects his youth slipping away as he remains loyal to his feelings, not pursuing any other relationships.
The musical composition by Sachin-Jigar skillfully blends elements of a traditional Bhojpuri love song with the energetic beats typical of a Bollywood party track. This fusion creates a unique listening experience that resonates with both the emotions of longing and the festive mood of celebration. The song captures the essence of romantic yearning while also offering a lively rhythm that makes it perfect for a dance sequence. The combination of expressive lyrics, traditional costumes, and a visually stunning setting enhances the overall impact of the song, making it a memorable piece in the music video.
In Scene 2, Abhishek, Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar, Pankaj, and Aparshakti return to their respective roles. In contrast to the original installment, which focused on Stree’s spirit, Stree 2 introduces a new antagonist called Sarkate, an evil creature that transformed Stree into a ghost. Along with Sunita Rajwar, Varun Dhawan makes a cameo as Bhediya in the horror-comedy. Jio Studios and Maddock Films support Stree 2. Jyoti Deshpande and Dinesh Vijan are co-producers of the film. The film, which was written by Niren Bhatt, is directed by Amar Kaushik. Additionally, Niren wrote the scripts for Bhediya and Munjya.
