Alia Bhatt is raising the bar once more with the release of two new posters on her social media handle as she declares that the teaser of the film Jigra will be out on September 8. Its confirmed release in the cinema halls is scheduled for October 11, 2024. More to this, this is a big deal for the actress because it will be her second film as a producer through her banner, Eternal Sunshine Productions, in association with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
The posters show a strong and intense avatar of Alia Bhatt. The first poster shows her standing against a backdrop that flaunts a dragon motif with Chinese lanterns in the background, half facing the camera with an angry look, wearing an oversized pin-striped shirt and baggy black pants with spikes, to with a short hairstyle adding more grit. The second one is of her facing the camera, with words beside her: “Dum hai. Satya mein dum hai!”, which means a powerful narrative of truth and strength.
Earlier, Alia had shared another set of posters, one of which featured her donning a bomb jacket with guns and an explosion forming the background. The caption insinuated that it was going to be a race against time, adding further suspense to the plot of the movie. Another poster shows her with her back to the camera, facing the silhouette of Vedang Raina while the words “Tu mere protection mein hai” point at a protective, possibly combative storyline.
Helmed by Vasan Bala, the movie has indeed created a lot of noise because it boasts a fresh pairing of Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina. Of course, the involvement of big-ticket industry names like Karan Johar, along with Alia’s fast-growing pull as a producer, makes Jigra one of the year’s most awaited films. Everyone, from her mother Soni Razdan to filmmaker Karan Johar, has pride and excitement in the comments section. What has been in store due to Jigra is still to be revealed. Still, the anticipation for what Jigra will bring has fans holding onto a more tantalizing stellar performance than Alia Bhatt is so accustomed to.
