Arjun Kapoor, fresh off the success of Singham Again, recently opened up about his relationship with his step-sisters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor. Speaking with Galatta India, Arjun expressed his gratitude for having them in his life, describing their bond as one that provides mutual strength and support.
Janhvi Kapoor, who joined the conversation through an audio message, shared heartfelt words about her brother. She praised Arjun for his resilience, acknowledging the challenges he has faced in the past two years. “I’ve seen him wait in the wings these past two years. Everyone knows it hasn’t been an easy journey for him. He’s always put up a brave front, even on days when it was hard to stay hopeful. I’m just so proud of him for having the courage to keep fighting and believing that hard work pays off,” Janhvi said.
Reflecting on their relationship, Arjun admitted that their bond was forged under “unfortunate” circumstances but emphasized how they have become each other’s pillars of strength. “Any good moment in my life feels incomplete without Janhvi and Khushi,” he said. Sharing an anecdote, Arjun revealed that Khushi had recently gone to watch his film without him asking, which deeply touched him. “It made me feel like she cares enough,” he added.
Arjun elaborated on his closeness to Janhvi, noting that their similar age brings them closer. However, he emphasized that both sisters have been unwavering in their support for him, especially during vulnerable times. “It’s not always about me being the protective brother. They’ve seen my vulnerable side too. Janhvi, in particular, has witnessed moments when I’ve questioned life, choices, and whether all the effort is worth it. Negativity is a constant in our profession, and sometimes it feels overwhelming. Both of them have been my rock during such moments,” he explained.
Grateful for their presence, Arjun said, “I’m better off for having Janhvi and Khushi in my life. I love them deeply and care for them immensely. I’m so glad they are doing well and happy to see how grounded and well-brought-up they are.”
