One of the actors in Hindi movie history who is most reliable at the box office is Ajay Devgn. He has produced hit after hit over the past 30 years, including the Golmaal series, the Drishyam franchise, and multiple Singhams.
However, it appears that the superstar is having trouble drawing crowds to theatres these days. The most recent instance is Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, which Neeraj Pandey produced and appeared in Tabu, Jimmy Sheirgill, Shantanu Maheshwari, and Saiee Manjrekar in.
It’s easy to label the movie as his least successful box office debut since the pandemic. When the pandemic struck four years ago, Ajay Devgn’s Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero was the greatest blockbuster of the year, earning close to Rs280 crore in India.
Regarding Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, the film received a dismal receiving upon its premiere on Friday, earning barely Rs1.85 crore. Despite this, it managed to make a pitiful rise to Rs 2.15 crore. The “Buy One Get One” promotion played a major role in Saturday’s increase, which brought the two days’ total to just Rs 4 crore.
Since the pandemic, Ajay has starred in six cinematic movies, all of which have had greater openings than his most recent film, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha.
His first film after the pandemic was runway 34, a two-day endeavour he directed that brought in a total of Rs 8.50 crore. Thank God, which he launched on Tuesday in honour of Diwali, brought in a total of Rs14.1 crore. He followed that up with that song. Next, Drishyam 2 brought in Rs 36.97 crore in two days of business. The two-day gross of Bholaa, the Kaithi remake, was Rs 18.6 crore. Additionally, Shaitaan made Rs 33.5 crore in two days of business.
Even the Eid movie Maidaan, which debuted with Akshay Kumar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, brought in Rs 7.1 crore in its first two days of sales. Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty, will be Ajay’s upcoming Diwali film.
