The box office phase is expected to end in less than a week, with three major Hindi films hitting theaters on August 15: Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao’s horror comedy Stree 2, Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer Khel Khel Mein, and John Abraham-Sharvari’s action movie Vedaa. These films have a lot of fanbase. And the fans are super excited to watch the films in the theatre.
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has certified the teaser for Diwali release Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which is 1 minute and 32 seconds long. Produced by T-Series, the teaser is expected to be attached to the Akshay Kumar film, Khel Khel Mein, one week before its release. The 2.57-minute trailer for #KanganaRanaut’s #Emergency will be accompanied by #JohnAbraham-#Sharvari’s #Vedaa.
Meanwhile, according to sources, two teasers will be shown with Stree 2, Skyforce and Chhava. Skyforce, Stree 2, is produced by Jio Studios and Maddock Films. It stars Akshay Kumar in the lead and is expected to be released on 2 October this year. Stree2 earns U/A certificate; runtime also announced ahead of to clash with Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein.
Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, Divya Dutta, and others star in Chhava, a film based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. It is directed by Laxman Utekar of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke (2023) and produced by Maddock Films. It is set to release in theaters on December 6, 2024.
On August 6, CBFC released the teaser for Alia Bhatt’s sole release of the year, Jigra, directed by Monica O My Darling (2022) the director Vasan Bala. The teaser is expected to last approximately 2 minutes and has been approved with a ‘U’ certificate. With the film’s release date of October 11 only two months away, advertisements and promotion will be available soon. However, there is no information yet on whether Jigra’s teaser will be presented alongside any of the Independence Day releases.
