The winners of the 2024 Indian Film Festival of Melbourne were revealed on Friday. The IFFM official account posted the list on X.
Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2024: Kartik Aaryan was named the Best Actor winner for his film Chandu Champion, while Vikrant Massey’s film 12th Fail took home the Best Film title. Laapataa Ladies, directed by Kiran Rao, won the Best Film Critics’ Choice Award.
Awards are won by Ram Charan, AR Rahman, and Dunki
Oscar for Equality in Cinema went to Dunki, starring Shah Rukh Khan. Actor Ram Charan from Telugu was awarded an Ambassador for Indian Art and Culture, while AR Rahman, who composed the music, was honored with an Excellence in Cinema award.
15th August marked the start of IFFM 2024, which featured a number of Indian films, online series, performers, and directors. At the official press conference to launch IFFM 2024, Kartik Aaryan, Imtiaz Ali, Karan Johar, Kabir Khan, Shoojit Sircar, and other celebrities were present. From August 15 to August 25, Indian films will be honored at the festival.
