The second filming period for actor Ayushmann Khurrana’s eagerly awaited film, Thama, is set to begin in Delhi in the new year 2025.
The recent announcement of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe’s schedule for the upcoming years heightened fan interest. Thama, which stars Rashmika Mandanna and Ayushmann Khurrana, is the next movie in the universe. Ayushmann is scheduled to begin filming the love story in Delhi in the beginning of 2025, according to a recent update regarding the film.
Ayushmann Khurrana posted a sun-kissed selfie to Instagram Stories today, January 4, 2025. He was spotted sporting a beige puffer jacket and a white t-shirt. The actor is getting ready to begin the second schedule for his next film, Thama. The actors and crew will start filming some thrilling scenes in Delhi early next week and continue until the first half of January, following a brief schedule in Mumbai towards the end of last year.
October 2024 saw the official announcement of Thama. A powerful music played in the background when the title and characters were revealed in the announcement trailer. “Dinesh Vijan’s Horror Comedy Universe needed a love story… unfortunately, it’s a bloody one,” the post said. The cast also includes Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in addition to Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in the key parts. Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Fulara wrote the screenplay for the movie, which was directed by Munjya star Aditya Sarpotdar. Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan are the producers. On the joyous occasion of Diwali 2025, Thama is scheduled to be released in theaters.
Shakti Shalini, Bhediya 2, Chamunda, Street 3, Maha Munjya, Pehla Mahayudh, and Doosara Mahayudh are some of the other future movies in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe. In addition to Thama, Ayushmann Khurrana is working with Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment on an untitled spy comedy. Sara Ali Khan plays the lead role in the Aakash Kaushik-directed movie. Ayushmann has been cast as the new Prem in Sooraj Barjatya’s untitled family drama, Pinkvilla has exclusively disclosed.
