Bollywood fans will enjoy the well-loved actress Tabu’s return to the horror-comedy genre, as she has come back after her unbelievable success in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. She is now a part of the highly-scattered cast of Akshay Kumar’s new film Bhooth Bangla. Directed by Priyadarshan, it is a long-awaited reunion between him and actor Akshay Kumar, after a gap of 14 years. Akshay had already gone to social networking sites to share his excitement regarding this reunion back in September. Tabu now confirms her association with the film by making the announcement on her own social networking sites.
Recently, Tabu had posted a picture of the clapperboard and captioned it, “Hum yahan bandh hain,” and fans were seen enjoying the excitement. The team is shooting in Jaipur currently and the actress will now be a part of this schedule. Just recently, Tabu had also worked on the super duper hit movie Crew, with Ektaa Kapoor. The actress was given a warm welcome by the producer. In response to the post, she wrote, “Aaapka swaaagat hai always an honour Tabu mam.”
Fans are especially excited about this partnership, as this will be Akshay Kumar and Tabu’s first co-appearance on the big screen since nearly two decades. Some fans have even been jokingly debating whether Tabu’s character from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 – Manjulika- would meet with Akshay’s character of Dr. Aditya Srivastava in the film. One jokingly commented that “Manjulika is meeting Dr. Aditya Srivastava,” and others were celebrating the film saying it was reminiscent of the atmosphere of the franchise Bhool Bhulaiyaa.
The film Bhooth Bangla has started filming in Jaipur; the beautiful and historically rich city is going to provide a very beautiful film setting. Famous for its eerie-comedic tone, Bhooth Bangla promises a thrilling ride. Directed by Priyadarshan, produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms and Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Films. Produced by Faara Sheikh and Vedant Baali, and by the story writer Akash A Kaushik and screenplay is written by Rohan Shankar, Abilash Nair, and Priyadarshan, this flick will hit cinemas on April 2, 2026.
