Since the 2007 release of the first chapter, fans have shown a great deal of interest in the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise. Vidya Balan and Akshay Kumar starred in the Priyadarshan-directed original movie, which made a lasting impression on viewers. Bhushan Kumar, the head of T-Series, wanted Vidya Balan to return to the part when he chose to bring the brand back with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The actress, however, turned down the offer because she was afraid, she wouldn’t live up to the fame of the original.
“I had approached Vidya ji for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, but she had refused,” said Bhushan Kumar, the film’s producer, during the opening of “Ami Je Tomar 3.0” in Mumbai on Friday. “We asked her to at least be involved when we were launching the trailer, so she posted it and she loved it, and she loved the movie,” he continued. She then assured me that she would undoubtedly appear in the third movie, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. That served as the impetus for Madhuri Ma’am, Vidya Ma’am, and me to join the cast. We were thrilled about it because I would never be able to give up on such a large setup.
“I was really afraid because Bhool Bhulaiyaa 1 has given me so much,” Vidya Balan herself admitted. “Maine gadbad kar diya toh sab paani phir jaayega,” I repeated. (Everything will be erased if I make a mistake.) Given the original film’s iconic status, her concerns were reasonable. When we fast-forward to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Vidya Balan has returned to the franchise. She went on to discuss her reasons for returning to the franchise. The only reason I didn’t do two, I’ll tell you. I was terrified to work on Bhool Bhulaiyaa again because I had gained so much from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 1. “Maine gadbad kar diya toh sab paani phir jaayega,” I repeated. I also told Anees (Bazmee) bhai that I couldn’t risk anything. However, I adored the script when they returned it to me with three, and I was eager to collaborate with Anees Bhai and Bhushan. From then on, it only got better.
Kartik was there, of course, and I had adored Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. After then, Madhuri Dixit was the cherry on top. Thus, it continued to improve. I had a terrific time doing it, and Maine himmat juta li (I gathered the courage). In my opinion, Anees Bazmee is the entertainment industry’s monarch. It was fantastic to have been able to collaborate with him on this,” she said.
