Doordarshan will begin airing 13 episodes of Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic 1989 series Fauji today, as an exciting prelude to the much awaited debut of Fauji 2. Fans will be able to experience the legendary show that made Shah Rukh Khan famous by watching the episodes, which will air on DD National Monday through Thursday. In addition to this sentimental resuscitation, the official start of Fauji 2 filming in Pune portends a new interpretation of the cherished series.

Playing Lieutenant Colonel Simarjeet Kaur in Fauji 2, Gauahar Khan revealed, “I’ve never accepted a project before even seeing the screenplay. Being a big fan of Shah Rukh Khan, I immediately said yes when Sandeep approached me. Being a part of the Fauji universe is an incredible experience, and seeing Shah Rukh Khan’s beloved series return is a wonderful moment.

The original series is a great way to get back in touch with the origins of this legendary program and honor its legacy before its new chapter is revealed as we anticipate Fauji 2.
With a new cast that includes Vicky Jain and Gauahar Khan, Fauji 2, which was produced, creatively directed, and created by Sandeep Singh, will put a contemporary spin on the army-based drama. Don’t miss Fauji’s comeback, which will air on DD National Monday through Thursday beginning today!
Sandeep Singh was the producer, creative director, and creator of Fauji 2, which was co-produced by Vicky Jain and Zafar Mehdi. Sameer Hallim served as the creative head, and Shreyas Puranik sang the title track. Vishal Chaturvedi wrote the story, Amarnath Jha wrote the screenplay, and Anil Choudhary and Chaitanya Tulsyan wrote the dialogue for Fauji 2.
Filmmaker Abhinav Pareek, who previously helmed A Wedding Story and Sab Moh Maaya Hai, makes his series debut. Nishant Chandrashekhar is also a director in Fauji 2. The program will be available on Doordarshan in Bengali, Gujarati, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.
