Director Aanand L Rai mentioned collaborating with Dhanush on Tere Ishk Mein, their upcoming film following Raanjhanaa and Atrangi Re. These are his words.
Director Aanand L Rai claims that because Dhanush has the ability to bring nuance and complexity to difficult roles, the South Star is an obvious fit for his directing projects. In their joint films Raanjhanaa (2013) and Atrangi Re (2021), Aanand and Dhanush portrayed the actor as an unorthodox romantic hero in both roles.
For the upcoming film Tere Ishk Mein, which will begin filming in January, the two have reunited. Pre-production for the film will commence next month. “Dhanush is someone who makes me feel at ease and comfortable around him. In an interview with PTI, the director—best known for Tanu Weds Manu and Zero—said, “I need great pillars with me to hold it when I’m challenging myself with these kinds of layered stories. Dhanush is one of them.
“Frequently working with composer AR Rahman, lyricist Irshad Kamil, and writer Himanshu Sharma, Aanand is joined on Tere Ishk Mein. According to the director, he trusts Rahman to craft musical magic that is consistent with his vision. “When I have a heavyweight story, I want to go to a bigger actor, and Dhanush is the one I trust. AR Rahman, sir, is another fantastic pillar in my life.” That is how I view films. I never claim to be an independent success. These are the people I want to aid. Then there’s a connection and cosiness,” Aanand continued.
While acknowledging that Tere Ishk Mein and Raanjhanaa share some themes, the filmmaker also assures viewers that the new movie is a distinct work of art. “It comes from the Raanjhanaa universe, but is this Raanjhanaa 2? It is not, that is not. When I refer to Raanjhanaa’s world, I’m speaking from the creator’s point of view, focussing on the feelings that Raanjhanaa evoked.
In a similar vein, both are tragedies filled with hate and fury. Love is not just about a straight guy and a straight woman; it has layers. Because it possesses both, that is why I claim that it is from the Raanjhanaa universe. However, the two tales are distinct from one another.
Triptii Dimri in Tere Ishk Mein?
The possibility that Animal star Triptii Dimri will play the lead in Tere Ishk Mein is a subject of increasing conjecture. Aanand promised an announcement shortly but did not provide any confirmation. However, he stated that playing the female protagonist would be a “difficult role”.”There must be chemistry and complexity when you are immersed in a love tale. One of the best personalities we are developing is this one. We wish to take a fresh approach,” Aanand declared.
“Manu and Tanu from Tanu Weds Manu, Kundan and Zoya (from Raanjhanaa), or Rinku and Vishu (from Atrangi Re) are examples of relationships including men and women. “I’m excited to delve deeper into these two characters,” he continued.
