Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are all set to enter the new, exciting phase as the couple gears up to welcome their first child. With Deepika in the last month of pregnancy, there was speculation over where she would deliver the baby, with some claiming that she might opt for London. But if the recent report is anything to go by, the couple will not venture too far from home, with Deepika tipped to deliver her baby in Mumbai.
News18 quotes a source as saying, “Deepika is due to deliver on September 28 at a South Bombay hospital. The actor-couple have been busy completing work and making necessary preparations for the new addition to their family ahead of D-day. As the due date draws closer, Deepika has been keeping away from the limelight to enjoy this special phase.”
This break may extend until March 2025, after which Deepika is likely to return to work. She reportedly has an exhausting schedule ahead, including the sequel of “Kalki” opposite industry giants Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Prabhas. It would look like Deepika has no intentions of losing steam after embracing motherhood.
News of Deepika’s pregnancy, first announced in February by the couple themselves through a sweet Instagram post, merely said their baby would arrive this September 2024. The low-key post that was complete with baby-themed emojis came after weeks of speculation from the end of Deepika’s appearance at the BAFTAs, where she appeared to be subtly concealing her growing bump.
Deepika and Ranveer’s journey to parenthood has been followed with eagerness by their fans. Deepika was last seen in Nag Ashwin’s “Kalki 2898 AD” and will next be seen with Ranveer Singh in Rohit Shetty’s “Singham Again,” which will be released in November 2024.
Now, as the two get ready to welcome their baby, the question still hovers: how will this new chapter influence their lives and careers? Will their fiefdom in Bollywood continue, or will their concentration shift towards family life? Only time will tell.
