Following the success of its precursor at the movie office, Kantara: Chapter 1 is anticipated to be a spinoff of this ethereal drama that will transport viewers to the origins of the legend included in the 2022 production. Fans were already excited by the news of this second installment, but Hombale Films has increased that excitement by revealing the November 17 release date.The first chapter of Kantara will be published on October 2, 2025. Regarding the release date, it falls on the tenth day following Navratri, Dussehra, in addition to being a national holiday due to Gandhi Jayanti.
An announcement teaser had been released by the makers
Hombale Films released a brief video last year along with the film’s announcement, showing a glimpse of Rishab Shetty in a mysterious forest before taking us to one of the actor’s larger personas, where he is covered in blood and has a menacing look with fire in his eyes. His new appearance, which includes long, curly hair, a naked chest, and rudraksh (holy beads) on his wrists and neck, adds to the movie’s ethereal feel.

It was recently claimed that the production crew had brought the ancient Kadamba Empire to life at Kundapur, transporting spectators to a time of bravery, culture, and mystery.
