Apparently, Sara Ali Khan will be seen along with Kartik Aaryan in Anurag Basu’s romantic outing, which will replace Aashiqui 3. This is because, after the film went on the floor, it went into an indefinite halt. As per sources, Sara has been considered for a female lead part that was reserved for social media sensation Imanvi, who will make her debut opposite Prabhas in a period drama. However, Imanvi refuses to accept any other film prior to her first release, forcing the makers to take Sara into their consideration as a replacement.
Sara Ali Khan, who has recently collaborated with Anurag Basu in the movie Metro In Dino, will likely be considered if things do not work out between Kartik and Imanvi. She is likely to pair with Kartik on-screen again for the second time, following the lead characters’ appearance together in Love Aaj Kal in 2020. While they did go out during the filming of that movie, the couple parted ways when the movie released.
The producers are to finalize the cast by the end of this month, and the shooting will take place soon after. It would be an exciting reunion for the duo if Sara gets the role. Meanwhile, Sara is gearing up for the release of Sky Force along with Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya on January 24, 2025, while Kartik is set for a 2026 release with Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, a romantic comedy from Dharma Productions.
