Star Park Seo-jun, a South Korean who gained popularity among fans of K-drama series with episodes like “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim” and “She Was Pretty,” says he enjoys Bollywood movies and would travel to India if invited. With “Gyeongseong Creature Season 2” about to launch on Netflix this Friday, the actor is eagerly anticipating the release of his show.
Han So-hee from “My Name” fame stars in the program, which is directed by Chung Dong-yoon. When asked if he would travel to India to meet fans, Park responded, “If you invite me, anytime,” in a roundtable discussion with PTI.
“Same here,” remarked Han and Chung, nodding in agreement with him.
“I adore Bollywood… Yes, do extend an invitation to me. Park continued in his reply, “I’d love to fly over if I get the chance. When asked if he was drawn to the two-part “Gyeongseong Creature” since it deviates from the conventional K-drama arc, Park responded that even in cases where the plot is similar, a show’s storytelling style is what distinguishes it from others.
“Korean dramas are plenty… This entire past is ours. Due of the abundance of (dramas), there may be tales and production procedures that are comparable. The “Itaewon Class” performer asserted that, “But even if we have the same theme or narrative, what makes a show unique or fun is like how it unravels.”
“Gyeongseong Creature” debuted on December 22, 2023. The first part focused on Yoon Chae-ok (Han), a missing person’s specialist who is looking for her mother, and Jang Tae-sang (Park), the owner of the House of Golden Treasure (Geumokdang), the best pawnshop in Gyeongseong.
“Gyeongseong Creature,” a Korean drama series, follows the destinies of Tae-sang and Chae-ok during the Japanese occupation of Korea. The second season, set in 2024 Seoul, explores the ties between fate and the characters Ho-jae and Chae-ok, a survivor of the Gyeongseong spring. Park, known for her work in K-dramas like “Nevertheless” and “The World of the Married,” said that the character of Chae-ok was “the pillar of the story” in the new chapter. Park expressed his enjoyment in working on the second season, which jumps from the past to modern-day Seoul.
