Raayan Box Office Early Estimates Day 1: Dhanush’s Action Thriller Opens Strong, Surpasses Karnan and Captain Miller.
The much-awaited Tamil action thriller “Raayan,” presented by Sun Pictures, hit the big screens today, July 26th. Directed, written, and headlined by the versatile Dhanush, the film features a stellar ensemble cast including S. J. In Tamil Nadu, “Raayan” has achieved the highest opening day collection for a Dhanush film, surpassing his previous hit “Karnan.” It is also the second biggest opener in Tamil Nadu for Tamil films in 2024, trailing closely behind “Indian 2.” The film’s performance in the state indicates it might approach the collections of “Indian 2” soon.

In North America, “Raayan” has also made a significant mark, crossing the $100K milestone. The film’s premiere garnered $64,351, while the first day earned an additional $55,030 as of 11 am EST. This brings the total North American box office collection to an impressive $119,381.
