Producer Ramesh Taurani has stated that Saif Ali Khan will return to the Race franchise with Race 4. Actor Saif Ali Khan will return for the fourth chapter of veteran film producer Ramesh Taurani’s well-liked action franchise Race. Race 4 will include Saif leading an ensemble cast, according to Taurani, the founder of Tips Films, and it will go on floors in 2025.

“We are thrilled that Saif will be returning to the Race franchise. He performed admirably in the first two movies. We are wrapping up the screenplay and casting for the ensemble cast feature. The director hasn’t been decided upon either. Before we start shooting, we will formally unveil the movie, perhaps in the upcoming year,” Taurani told PTI. The 2008 film Race, which starred Saif and Akshaye Khanna as two brothers named Ranvir and Rajiv who become entangled in a convoluted web of treachery and deceit, launched the franchise, which is renowned for its intense action, glitzy settings, and intricate narratives. In the 2013 follow-up, Race 2, Saif made a reappearance alongside John Abraham as the antagonist. Both movies were well-received by reviewers and enjoyed economic success.
The poor box office results and reviews for Race 3
However, the franchise’s third part included an entirely new ensemble lead by superstar Salman Khan. It would be inaccurate, according to Taurani, to claim that Race 3 didn’t do well at the box office. The third edition outperformed the first two in terms of box office performance. The fact that the movie made over ₹180 crore when we had anticipated it to make between ₹200 and 250 crore is not unimportant. It was a successful movie for all of us,” he remarked. The third installment didn’t receive as positive of a reception from critics as the first two did. That is the only distinction. But with the fourth part , we’re not skipping any details,” Taurani continued. The producer also disclosed plans to create a follow-up to the Bobby Deol and Preity Zinta action movie Soldier, which debuted in 1998. We intend to produce Soldier 2, as it is a quality franchise movie. We are in the process of crafting the screenplay,” he stated.
Tips Films is set to release a family entertainer film featuring filmmaker David Dhawan and his actor son Varun Dhawan, as well as the action thriller Maalik, directed by Pulkit. The untitled movie marks the third collaboration between the father-son duo after Main Tera Hero and Coolie No. 1, while Maalik is an action thriller. The filmmakers, who have worked together on Kunwara and Coolie No. 1, are confident that Rajkummar Rao will do justice to his first action film.
