Bollywood fans are in for a treat as the Dhoom franchise is all set for its fourth installment, with Ranbir Kapoor stepping in as the lead. The highly anticipated film, Dhoom 4, has officially entered its pre-production phase under the supervision of Aditya Chopra at Yash Raj Films (YRF). Chopra, the mastermind behind the franchise, is determined to take the action and storytelling to a whole new level with this reboot.
Sources have confirmed that Ranbir Kapoor has been locked in to play the main role in Dhoom 4. This will be the 25th film of his career, and the actor is excited to make this milestone a special one. Known for his versatility, Ranbir will take on a negative role, following in the footsteps of previous stars like John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan, and Aamir Khan, who brought iconic villain characters to the franchise.
While the earlier Dhoom films featured familiar faces such as Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra, this reboot will not bring back any of the original cast members. Instead, two new actors from the younger generation will be cast as the cop duo, marking a fresh start for the series.
YRF plans to start filming Dhoom 4 by late 2025 or early 2026, once Ranbir wraps up other major projects like Love and War and Ramayana. The search for a director is ongoing, with an announcement expected by mid-2025.
In addition to Dhoom 4, YRF has an exciting lineup of films in the works, including War 2, Alpha, Mardani 3, Pathaan 2, and Tiger vs Pathaan, all of which are set to elevate Indian cinema to a global standard.
With a packed schedule ahead, Ranbir Kapoor is on track to solidify his position as one of Bollywood’s top stars, making the coming years a thrilling time for both his fans and the industry.
