The stage is set for one of Bollywood’s most anticipated films, as Sanjay Leela Bhansali brings together Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Alia Bhatt in his upcoming epic, Love And War. This film is more than just another project; it’s a cinematic event that has everyone talking. With an epic love triangle set against the tumultuous backdrop of war, Bhansali has once again crafted a story that promises to captivate audiences with its intense emotions, grand visuals, and stellar performances.
Love And War has been in the news for quite a while, in the past few months, and rightly so. Bhansali has pulled off a casting coup, bringing together three of Bollywood’s biggest stars. While Ranbir Kapoor faces a shock reserved with a character featuring some dark shades that add nuances to the plot, Vicky Kaushal will be roped in for the role of one who stretches the limits of friendship and loyalty. Fresh from her action-packed act in Alpha, Alia Bhatt is supposed to join Bhansali’s poetic world to play a character torn between love and duty.
Bhansali has worked out the shooting schedule in advance because of his star cast’s busy timelines. The film goes on the floor in the first week of October, where Ranbir Kapoor will start the proceedings. Vicky Kaushal joins a little later, around October 10, with the two actors already preparing for some intense scenes that showcase the deep bond of friendship between their characters. She will start working on Love And War in December or early January, once the work on Alpha is complete.
Love And War would emerge as an endearing and breathtaking tale of love, friendship, and betrayal, through the characters’ dynamics, which would eventually manifest in a structured script for the film. First, there will be the action sequences with Ranbir Kapoor establishing the tone, followed by the bonding between the two friends, his and Vicky Kaushal’s. Then narrative switches to the romance between Vicky and Alia before it hovers to the tangled relationship of Ranbir and Alia, building up to the climactic confrontation that brings all three protagonists together for an explosive climax.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali, known for larger-than-life films, will direct this one and produce the film. Contrary to earlier reports that were stating Bhansali would co-produce Love And War with another major production house, the maker has decided to make the film entirely on his own, and the maker is presently in the process of locking one of the biggest ever non-theatrical deals for the film’s satellite, digital, and music rights. While Ranbir Kapoor gets busy with Ramayana: Part One, Vicky Kaushal is all geared up for the December release of Chhava. As Love And War gets ready for its long and tight shoot, there is a film gunning to become one of the most talked-about cinematic experiences in years.
