In a major development regarding the firing incident at Salman Khan’s residence, the Mumbai Police apprehended a man from Jamshedpur for allegedly demanding a Rs 5 crore ransom from the Bollywood star. The individual, identified as 24-year-old Shaikh Hussain Shaikh Mausin, works as a vegetable seller by profession. His arrest marks another chapter in the ongoing threats against Salman Khan, who has been targeted by criminal elements for some time now.
According to reports from PTI, the suspect was detained and is currently being questioned by a team from the Worli police station. The police plan to bring Mausin to Mumbai for further investigation, though additional details have not yet been disclosed by the authorities.
This arrest follows a recent incident in which the Mumbai traffic police control room received a WhatsApp message from a person claiming to be affiliated with Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. The message demanded Rs 5 crore from Salman Khan, warning that if the ransom was not paid, the actor would meet the same fate as his close associate, Baba Siddique, who was previously killed by the same gang. However, the sender later followed up with a second message, apologizing and stating that the initial message was a mistake. Despite this, the police treated the threat with urgency and tracked down the suspect to Jharkhand, leading to his arrest.
The situation surrounding Salman Khan’s safety has been tense for months, particularly after a firing incident earlier this year outside his Bandra residence, Galaxy Apartments. Several individuals involved in that incident have been arrested, but the threats against the actor have persisted, with Khan receiving multiple death threats from criminal gangs, particularly the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
In light of these security concerns, Salman Khan’s security detail has been strengthened. According to a report from Hindustan Times, the actor’s manager confirmed that additional security personnel, numbering around 8 to 10, have been deployed to ensure his safety. These guards also conduct thorough checks at locations before the actor’s arrival.
Meanwhile, Khan has been busy working on his upcoming film Sikandar with director AR Murugadoss. While the project was initially slated to finish by November or December, the recent security issues have caused some delays, and the film’s shooting is now expected to wrap up by January. Despite the challenges, Khan’s team is working hard to maintain both his security and his professional commitments.
