Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is gearing up for an action-packed return to theatres with Sikandar, directed by A.R. Murugadoss. According to recent reports, the film will feature a high-octane action sequence aboard a train, which is expected to be one of the major highlights of the movie. Murugadoss is said to be pulling out all the stops to showcase Salman’s action prowess, promising an adrenaline-filled treat for fans.
Sources revealed that the elaborate train sequence is being filmed on a grand scale at a Borivali studio in Mumbai. Describing the scene, the insider shared, “It’s raw, gritty, and packed with intense combat as Salman’s character takes on a gang of villains. The director’s vision was to make the scene bloody and vengeful, and it’s being choreographed to reflect that intensity.” Salman began shooting the sequence on Wednesday evening with a smaller crew of about 30 members. Earlier, on Tuesday, Murugadoss filmed parts of the scene involving a larger crowd of approximately 350 extras.
Due to security considerations, the shoot is planned across multiple locations. After wrapping up in the Borivali studio, the production is set to shift to outdoor venues in Mumbai starting Thursday. Filming is expected to continue until the end of January, with different parts of the city serving as backdrops for the action-heavy scenes.
Sikandar boasts a stellar ensemble cast featuring Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, and Prateik Babbar, among others. The team recently completed a significant schedule in Hyderabad earlier this month. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the movie is slated for a grand Eid 2025 release.
As anticipation builds, fans are eagerly awaiting this larger-than-life action spectacle that promises to be a visual and emotional rollercoaster.
