Many of us look back on our instructors from childhood with a mixture of fear and wonder. Imagine your astonishment when, as an adult, that fearsome figure turns out to be a beloved friend. Actor Sanjana Sanghi, who attended Modern School, Barakhamba, finds this change to be both touching and insightful. We spoke to actor and former school administrator Lata Vaidyanathan on this Teacher’s Day. She remembers her kid Sanghi with nothing but admiration.
“Sanjana was the student that everyone wanted to hang out with at school. She exuded happiness in both her words and movement, and the professors genuinely adored her. Vaidyanathan recalls that Sanghi would always make someone smile, even if they were sad in the morning. He last saw Sanghi at the 2023 film Dhak Dhak. She is obviously moved by the compliments and can only reply with a shy giggle when she hears it.
