On September 13, Netflix will broadcast the crime thriller Sector 36, which is directed by Aditya Nimbalkar. Inspired by real-life incidents, the film examines the unexplained disappearance of kids from a nearby slum and chronicles a police officer’s rigorous investigation into a gruesome string of murders.
Sector 36, which is produced by Jio Studios and Maddock Films, Dinesh Vijan’s production company, stars Vikrant Massey and Deepak Dobriyal. It delves into themes of crime, power, and social inequity as the protagonist fights a crafty serial murderer and unearths horrifying secrets that go against society conventions. Producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films expressed excitement for the movie, saying, “We are thrilled to collaborate with Netflix once more on a topic like Sector 36, which is a very sensory film. It’s a tale that, in our opinion, must be told. The film explores the hunter and the hunted, the haves and the have-nots, and is multilayered, going deep into the human psyche.
