Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently received a chilling death threat, leaving fans and authorities on high alert. The threat was made on Tuesday evening, November 5, through a phone call to Mumbai Police, where the caller, identifying himself only as “Hindustani,” claimed to be outside Shah Rukh’s residence, Mannat, at Bandstand in Mumbai. He demanded ₹50 lakh from the actor, threatening to harm him if his demands weren’t met.
The man reportedly told police, “I am calling Shah Rukh from Mannat Bandstand. If he doesn’t give me ₹50 lakh, I will kill him.” When police inquired about his identity, he replied, “It doesn’t matter. You can write my name as Hindustani.”
Following this, the Mumbai Police took swift action by filing a case at Bandra Police Station under Sections 308(4) and 351(3)(4) BNS against the unidentified individual. Although no arrest has been made yet, a police team has traveled to Raipur to investigate further.
Shah Rukh Khan, who has received similar threats in the past, has not yet commented on the latest incident. Security around the actor has been heightened, especially since he was granted Y+ security in 2023 following the immense success of his films Pathaan and Jawan.
This recent threat comes just days after Shah Rukh’s friend and fellow actor Salman Khan also faced a death threat. Salman’s recent threat reportedly involved a demand for ₹5 crore or an apology at a temple. The accused, identified as Bhikha Ram, also known as Vikram, from Jalore in Rajasthan, was subsequently arrested.
The spate of threats against Bollywood’s biggest stars has raised questions about the security of public figures. Fans and the Bollywood fraternity are hoping for a resolution soon, with police taking rigorous measures to ensure the safety of these beloved actors.
As the investigation continues, Shah Rukh’s fans have taken to social media, expressing their concerns and support for the actor, and highlighting the ongoing need for security and vigilance in the entertainment industry.
