The action comedy Son of Sardaar returns with a highly anticipated sequel, promising twice as much comedy, action, and entertainment as it did in its huge box office hit in 2012. The filming of Son of Sardaar 2 has started in the UK.
In a video that he posted, Ajay Devgn can be seen praying and asking for blessings as the shooting gets underway. Behind-the-scenes pictures from the sets are also included. In the video, Yug Devgn, his son, is also featured in passing. “The journey of #SonOfSardaar2 begins with prayers, blessings, and an amazing team,” he captioned the photo.
Son of Sardaar 2 originally slated Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt to return to their respective roles. Ajay Devgn will still play the same part as in the previous film, but Ravi is said to have taken Sanjay Dutt’s position because of the recent controversy surrounding the rejection of his UK visa application due to his imprisonment in the 1993 bombings case.
The film, which also stars Mrunal Thakur, was originally scheduled to be filmed in London; however, the filming timeline has been modified due to the cast change. Now, the production is taking place in Scotland. Son of Sardaar 2 is produced by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande and is presented by Jio Studios and Devgn Films. It is a Devgn Films and SOS 2 Limited production.
