In a recent interview, singer Sona Mohapatra recounted how she believed that after becoming famous in the film industry, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan toned down her intelligence.
Over the past 20 years, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has become as one of Bollywood’s most popular actresses. After obtaining the title of Miss World, she went on to appear in a number of Bollywood blockbusters. Sona Mohapatra, a singer, recently disclosed that she saw the actress evolve over time and believed that, after becoming famous, she toned down her intelligence and changed her demeanor.
Sona Mohapatra talked about how some performers deliberately avoid showcasing their knowledge in the movie business in a recent interview on Love Lingo’s YouTube channel. Citing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as an example, she disclosed that she first encountered the actress while pursuing her architectural studies at the Rachana Sansad Academy of Architecture.
Bachchan’s beauty, intelligence, and eloquence were remarkable to the Naina vocalist at the time. However, she believed that her personality altered in subsequent years as a result of winning the Miss World competition and appearing in well-known movies.
She remembered, “She is older than me, and she was studying architecture.”She was quite close to a classmate and family friends. She was stunning to look at, intelligent, articulate, and true to herself. Later on, though, Mohapatra used to question whether the Dhoom 2 actress was the same person she knew when she saw her in interviews. She went on to say that she may have been pressured by the entertainment industry to come across as less confident and less intelligent. “She laughed a lot, but perhaps she was diplomatic anyhow. Perhaps she was going through a phase. However, I couldn’t help but think, ‘She is a very educated woman.’ However, her line of work may force her to be less intelligent. I could be mistaken. Sheh lowered his voice.
Sona clarified that Sheh had calmed down. The artist went on to say that when someone seems a little weak, they can more easily integrate into the entertainment industry’s ecosystem. Aishwarya, on the other hand, enrolled in the Rachana Sansad Academy of Architecture with the intended goal of becoming an architect. She later dropped out of school to pursue modeling, though, and in 1994 she won Miss World. In 1997, she debuted as an actress in Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film Iruvar. The same year, she made her Bollywood debut in Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya. The actress has appeared in numerous popular movies, including Guru, Jodhaa Akbar, Dhoom 2, Hum Dil De Sanam, and others. Aishwarya hasn’t made any announcements since her last appearance in Ponniyin Selvan: II in 2023.
