Actor Sunita Rajwar discusses her film Santosh’s nomination as the United Kingdom’s official Oscar entry, her celebration plans, and more in an exclusive interview with HTCity.
The choice of Santosh as the official UK entry for the Oscars in the Best International Feature film category, according to actor Sunita Rajwar, is a “gift from the universe to me.” “Yeh toh chappar phaad ke milne wali baat hai,” she says animatedly.
The 54-year-old is overjoyed with the acknowledgement she is receiving from the business community. “Aside from the remarkable quality of the movie, I play a solid and intriguing character… She exclaims, “And it feels great that my name is also being mentioned along with Sandhya (Suri, director) and Shahana (Goswami, actor), the main lead. I’ve done so much work in the industry in the last 24 years, but I’ve never seen this happen to anyone.” It has the feel of a dream.
