A sequel is in the works for Pati Patni Aur Woh, which shot to fame at the movie office in 2019 and left viewers in stitches. There’s cause for celebration for fans, as the upcoming release promises even more humour. Kartik Aaryan, Ananya Panday, and Bhumi Pednekar are in the sequel, which director Mudassar Aziz recently revealed. “I will provide a lot of laughs and a very interesting perspective from a woman’s standpoint,” he said. An update on the Pati Patni Aur Woh sequel was given by the director in a recent interview with Indian Express.He disclosed that he is now finalising various parts of his next directorial project, which will be the sequel. “Since I am setting out to take that on as the next installment of the idea of Man Woman, and Her all over again, I can promise it will not be run of the mill,” stated Mudassar Aziz.Aziz stated that he is working on the sequel but hasn’t announced the final cast yet. He isn’t ready to make any formal announcements just yet. Although he enjoys writing sequels, he doesn’t concentrate on building franchises, he said. Thinking back on his earlier work, he noted that notable characters from the first movie continued to play a major role in follow-ups like Happy Phir Bhag Jaayegi. Aziz came to the conclusion that the producers and studio would decide on the actors and any formal announcements.
Kartik Aaryan had earlier promised to return for the follow-up to his 2019 hit film Pati Patni Aur Woh, according to a report from Bollywood Hungama. Sources claim that in addition to endorsing the sequel, he gave the script high marks. The actor is excited to play his part from the first movie again, and the script for the movie has been finalised. The same article stated that the producers opted to proceed with the project right away after receiving Kartik’s assent. Pati Patni Aur Woh, which debuted in 2019, was a reimagining of the 1978 movie of the same name, with Kartik Aaryan playing the hero part and Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday playing the female leads.
Regarding whether Ananya and Bhumi would be back in the follow-up, there has been no news as of yet.
Professionally speaking, Kartik Aaryan most recently starred in the biopic Chandu Champion, which tells the story of India’s first gold medallist at the Paralympic Games, Murlikant Petkar. The movie follows Petkar through several phases of his life and highlights his achievements in sports like hockey and wrestling. He is currently working on Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, in which he will play Rooh Baba again.
