Uorfi Javed, a social media influencer, claims her dreams go beyond the glitz of Bollywood and include becoming India’s premier reality TV star. Javed, who presently participates on Prime Video’s reality series Follow Kar Lo Yaar, stated that traditional television and Bollywood pathways do not fit her goals.
“Bollywood is no longer a dream. I aspire to be India’s biggest reality TV star and entrepreneur. Today, we have so many various professional alternatives to pursue, which we were not aware of and didn’t think were conceivable to get into,” she explained. “She told PTI in an interview. Javed’s popularity stems mostly from her unusual and daring fashion taste, which frequently attracts notice on social media and in the media as a whole. Her style frequently violates traditional norms, eliciting both praise and controversy.
“I started from scratch; I knew no one here, had no idea how to do or find job, and had a dream to do something huge here. When I arrived, I searched Google for the phone numbers of several television and film production companies. I called them all in one day, asking for work. “Some responded, some did not,” Uorfi recounted. In six months, I would hardly get to work for ten days since I was receiving so little work on TV. I was either playing the main character’s sister or a supporting role; I wasn’t getting to play major roles. I never had a significant or prosperous career in television,” she remarked.
According to Javed, a comeback to the television scene is now guaranteed. “I’d prefer not to return to watching television. I’m content with my current situation. The notoriety I currently enjoy as a result of my work, which is extremely hard to obtain on television,” she continued. Despite just spending a week on the show, her participation as a participant on the reality series “Bigg Boss” OTT (2021) marked a significant turning point in her career. The influencer and performer declared that she is “loving” every aspect of her life and feels that her unusual rise to fame was always intended.
“I felt completely at ease in my celebrity era. I’ve known all my life that I was meant for this and have never felt unwelcome. I cared for and made sure I was feeding fame as I would have any other friend. Though perhaps on occasion I did, I never took advantage of it. Respect comes back to you when you show it to others.” Released on August 23, “Follow Kar Lo Yaar” is a nine-episode series that offers an unvarnished look inside Uorfi’s life and career trajectory.
Sometimes I think, ‘Wow, did I really do that? There’s a show on me. But I feel like, ‘Maja nahi aa raha hai, I want to accomplish something bigger than this,'” she remarked the following day. When asked if she believes that women are evaluated solely on their appearance, Javed replied that she ignores the people who make fun of her appearance. You will never become the person the universe has intended for you, and you will lose your authenticity the instant you attempt to alter who you are in response to those criticisms. I never would have gotten where I am now if I had followed those trolls,” she declared.
