Alia Bhatt is all geared up to entertain audiences once again with her upcoming film, JIGRA opposite Vedang Raina. The highly anticipated teaser for the movie by director Vasan Bala has just been dropped, and it looks intense-perfectly blended with action, emotion, and sibling love which is strong and powerful.
The teaser begins with an intense scene where the character of Alia is sipping a drink in a hotel and how her thoughts about her brother, played by Vedang Raina, keep haunting her. She says, “There is very little time, and I have to do a lot.” This sets the mode for what looks like an engaging and emotional tale that can be expected. The teaser flicks into Vedang’s character being taken behind bars, showing Alia’s character determined to save him at all costs.
Through the short-length but thrilling clip, Alia is seen taking on an array of goons by packing a punch; quite literally in her strides to bring her brother to safety. It beautifully weaves the teaser with flashbacks of the siblings’ childhood, subtly hinting at the strong bond that makes her character pursue justice relentlessly.
Most noticeably, the soundtrack of the teaser is ominously played, filled with the sister and brother in this classic song called “Phoolon Ka Taron Ka.” The classic tune merged with high-octane action scenes adds an emotional depth so strong that it matches up with the protective nature of Alia’s character.
Jigra is another film that revolves around Alia Bhatt in the lead role, but this time she is a sister who will not stop at anything. The storyline of this film is based on bravery, passion, and determination- something that Alia’s character will have in trying to survive outside the dangerous world she is suddenly put into. Vedang Raina, marking his presence as Alia’s on-screen brother in this film, adds freshness to this tale of sibling bonding, promising the audience an overwhelming and strong sibling attachment.
Adding to the excitement, Alia Bhatt shared the teaser on her Instagram handle and captioned it, “Ulti ginti shuru”. Ever-supportive Karan Johar jumped to the comment section and added, “Here we go ulti ginti shuru”, further giving rise to the anticipation among fans.
