Selena Gomez, in an interview at the Variety Studio, hosted by J Crew and Shark Ninja at the Toronto International Film Festival, shared an interesting pitch she had for her character Mabel Mora in the hit series Only Murders in the Building on Hulu. Gomez revealed that she had considered having her character commit the murder in a later episode of the program. “I did pitch that,” Gomez acknowledged in the Variety interview. “I don’t think it will succeed, but you never know? You can never be sure,” she said.
For her part as Mabel, Gomez received her first Emmy nod this year for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. Numerous people have appreciated her performance. Gomez joined her Emilia Perez co-stars, Karla Sofia Gascon, Zoe Saldana, Edgar Ramirez, and Adriana Paz, to discuss the film’s critical praise and Oscar hype in addition to talking about her role in Only Murders in the Building. At the Cannes Film Festival, the Jacques Audiard-directed movie took home a shared Best Actress prize.

Costas is the only Latina to have won in a top series category. On August 27, Only Murders in the Building’s fourth season debuted on Hulu. It can be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar in India.
