It is the beginning of 2025 that has welcomed an interesting announcement by Maddock Films regarding their horror-comedy universe, based on the hits of Stree, Bhediya, and Munjya. Beginning with the year 2025, the studio promises a bigger offer between 2025 and 2028, with sequels as well as some new films. Information regarding some of the films remains confidential, while one of the films, Thama has announced its cast. Amidst all the buzz, word has been circulating that Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are joining the Maddock horror-comedy universe. But is this true?
A social media post has created a buzz as it claims that both Shah Rukh and Salman Khan are going to feature in the Doosra Mahayudh, the final installment of the horror-comedy franchise, that is scheduled for release on 18th October 2028. The post carries a Wikipedia screenshot that shows the two superstars along with other cast members like Bhediya’s Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, Stree’s Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, Thama’s Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, and Munjya’s Sharvari and Abhay Verma.
But please remember that the above information has come from a Wikipedia page and thus cannot be considered to have any official credibility unless Dinesh Vijan and the Doosra Mahayudh film team themselves announce it. Up until now, there’s no official news of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan featuring in Doosra Mahayudh.
Still, there is some hope with regards to SRK’s involvement. In 2024, news emerged that SRK had reportedly met with the director of Stree and Bhediya, Amar Kaushik, regarding a possible collaboration. There have been no further updates since then.
For now, fans will have to wait for Maddock Films to officially announce and spill the beans about what is in store for this much-awaited horror-comedy universe.
